1. Wirecard AG Skyrockets 9.5%
Wirecard AG skyrocketed on Tuesday to end the day 9.5% higher at €182.30 after taking a steep dive on Monday. WDI climbed the charts after receiving consensus rating of “Buy” from the eighteen analysts that are currently covering the company. In other stock related news, Thomas Cook Group PLC (TCG) continued to tumble on Tuesday to close 4.16% lower, hitting a 5 month low at £50.75 after the stock was downgraded by stock analysts at Berenberg Bank to a “sell” rating. American Airlines Group (AAL) also dipped yesterday, to finish the day 6.55% lower at $33.55 and bottom at a two-year low after saying its Q3 fuel costs were higher than expected and detailing the impact from Hurricane Florence last month.*

2. Oil Slips As Markets Brace For Incoming US hurricane
Oil prices edged lower on Wednesday after the IMF lowered its global growth forecasts but prices were supported as Hurricane Michael churned towards Florida, causing the shutdown of nearly 40 percent of U.S. Gulf of Mexico crude output. Brent crude futures (CL_BRENT) were last seen trading flat at $84.98 as of 7:00 GMT while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (USOIL) crude was down by 12 cents, or 0.16 percent, at $74.8462 a barrel, after rising nearly 1 percent in the previous session.**

3. GBP In Focus: 4 Events That Will Affect The Sterling today
UK markets have clearly been more interested in what has been happening surrounding the Brexit negotiations recently. The GBP is perhaps today’s hottest currency to watch as we are in for a great number of top-tier events that will affect the pound throughout the European session. The main release of focus is clearly going to be UK GDP at 8:30 GMT this mornings with forecast pointing to a lower reading.
