Corporate Social Responsibility is taken very seriously at BDSwiss Holding PLC, where we are always looking for ways to support local charitable organisations through voluntary actions and donations. In line with our highly responsible corporate attitude, we ensure that we cultivate the same sense of responsibility in our employees and we encourage our global teams to actively engage in charitable events and give back to their local community.
As the Holiday Season approaches, the company was pleased to donate all its Corporate Christmas Gala Raffle proceeds to the Hope (“Elpida” in Greek) Foundation for Children with Cancer & Leukaemia, to support the institution’s efforts in providing financial and psychological assistance to children under treatment and their families, as well as securing free accommodation to the families of hospitalized children.
“Elpida” Foundation for Children with Cancer & Leukemia was established in 1990. Since then, the foundation has been providing psychological and financial support to children cancer patients and their families and has been actively covering the training expenses for doctors and nurses, as well as purchasing any medical equipment needed of the Pediatric Oncology-Hematology Clinic, at Archbishop Makarios III Hospital, Nicosia, Cyprus.
We would like to thank Elpida Foundation Vice President, Mr Yiannakis Papadopoulos, as well as the General Secretary Mr Panayiotis Papas for the honour of visiting our premises in person, at the BDSwiss Office, in Limassol. BDSwiss Management had the opportunity to discuss first hand the work being done by the foundation. We feel privileged to have had the opportunity to contribute to their noble cause and we wish that the Elpida Foundation continues on their mission to support children with cancer and leukemia and that the new year brings some much anticipated medical advancements in cancer treatment research.
